The MH-TRN and specifically the Centre for Health Care Research (CHCR) in Hamburg is a leading centre for new mental healthcare models in Germany, especially for people with serious mental illness. This includes stepped, collaborative and integrated care models and – as a unique point – all translational steps from evidence-based development, clinical research on efficacy and efficiency, implementation and management in routine care, health services research, quality assurance as well as national and international transfer.

So far, 8 different care models were developed or further developed and adapted to the German healthcare system. Please choose one of the model to get further information:

  • EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICE (EIS)
  • THERAPEURTIC ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT (TACT)
  • CRISIS RESOLUTION TEAM (CRT)
  • STEPPED CARE SERVICE MODEL (RECOVER)

  • E-MENTAL-HEALTH PLATFORM (ERECOVER)
  • CHILDREN OF MENTALLY-ILL PARENTS (CHIMPS)
  • CENTER FOR TRAUMATIZED REFUGEES (CENTRA)

Furthermore, the MH-TRN has a central focus on involvement of patients, carer, and the public, especially in the areas of mental health literacy, peer research, and peer service. Below you will find three representative projects.

  • NETWORK MENTAL HEALTH (PSYCHENET)
  • ‘CRAZY IS HUMAN’ HAMBURG (IRRE MENSCHLICH)

The work of the MH-TRN is also reflected in the publication and collaboration on treatment guidelines and manuals. Here you can see a few examples:
